10 things you need to do for perfect spring getaway

ENG: Winter is finally over and we welcomed the spring! For me, spring is the real start of a new year. And what better to do for the start of new season than take a short weekend trip. Europe is the most beautiful in spring. Every country and city you decide to visit this spring, we’ll give you its best. There no better time do explore European capitals than in spring. If you are planning your weekend getaway this spring, here is the list of 10 things that you’ll need to do to have the best trip ever!

1. Do weather forecast research!

This is not something that you can affect, but you can do a research and plan the dates of your trip according to the weather forecast. Check out weather forecast sites and pick a weekend with sunny and warm weather. Weather is very important for traveling. Yes, you can explore when it cloudy and rainy but it will definitely be better if it’s sunny, right? So, take your time and find the perfect weekend for you.

2. Choose a good company!

I’m a type of person that doesn’t like to travel alone. I love sharing my travel experiences with my friends and family. And spring trips are the best if you travel with people that you love. It can be your boyfriend or girlfriend,  your best friend one of the members of your family. I love exploring cities with small group of people. I believe if the are a large amount of people with you, you can not see all the things you have planned. So, find your perfect travel companion and plan your trip together.

3. Pick your perfect destination!

There are so many places I want to visit and see for the first time and some places I wish I can visit once in a month. But if I can choose my next destination, I would choose one that I’ve been dreaming of for a long time. For this spring, I suggest you to pick an European capital of city to discover. Think about the places you want to visit, food that you want to taste… The are so many great cities on this continent, like Lisabon, Amsterdam, Berlin, Dresden, Milano… Your dream destination is waiting for you! Buy a ticket and explore!

4. Buy a smaller suitcase!

The one thing you definitely need is a smaller suit case. Your weekend getaway is going to last for 3 or 4 day, therefore you need to get a smaller suitcase. First of all, because you do not need that much clothing and there are also some airline companies propositions when it comes to size and weight of the luggage. Most of low budget flying companies require that your luggage fits in the appropriate dimensions and weight.  For example, Ryanair offers an option for a suitcase that weights 10 kg and has dimensions 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. I think that this suitcase has great size for weekend trip.

5. Pack light!

When you are travelling just for few days, for a weekend, you don’t need that much clothing. Pack a pair or two pair of jeans, t-shirts, shirts, a sweater and a lighter jacket. Plan your outfits in advance and make them easy to combine, so you can take less but get more outfits.

6. Wear comfortable shoes!

You are going to be a tourist, to explore and learn about the city you are visiting. So, forget about heels, and pick up your most comfortable pair of shoes. You are going to walk all the time, think about that when you are packing!

7. Make an itinerary!

I’m not starting my vacation or my weekend trip if I haven’t made an itinerary. Do a research and plan all the places you want to visit! Make a list of all historical and cultural sights, museums, restaurant and cafes. That way, you are going to be much easier to plan your days and get to see all the places you have dreamed of.

8.Get a travel guide book and a map!

I love to be informed when I’m visiting a certain destination. Get a travel guide book about the destination that you are visiting or do a research online. Pick all the sights you want to see and find them on your map. That way, you can organize your day and discover some not that well-known tourist spots.

9. Do a research!

As I said in in previous sections, doing a good research is one of the most important parts of trip planning. Beside traditional research methods, like travel guides,  I love finding some cute and not that famous sights on Instagram. That way I found some really cute cafes and great restaurant and you can always get inspired by other bloggers and Instagramers and find some amazing places to take your pictures.

10.  Find interesting cafes and restaurants!

When you get tired and you need a cup of coffee, do not just go to the first cafe you see. Before your trip, check your instagram and Pinterest to find picturesque and cute cafes for your coffee break. You will drink your cup of coffee and your get to enjoy some amazing cafe with impressive interior design or delicious coffee. If you love visiting restaurants or you love street food, talk to your friends who have been to curtain destination before, to recommend you some place to go eat. And again you can also find a restaurant recommendation or review online and find a place to enjoy delicious food.

Svi smo mi različiti i imamo različita interesovanja. Stoga, izaberite vašem druga za putovanja i isplanirajte zajedno vaše putovanje.

8. Nabavite turistički vodič i mapu!

10. Pronađite zanimljive kafiće i restorane!

How to save money for travel

1. Napravite plan potrošnje i štednje!

ENG: We all wanna travel the world, right? Well, it’s not that easy to save money for travels. Therefore I decide to share with you some tips I follow. Maybe this way we can’t save the money for the trip around the world, but we can save something for our next trip to some near destination. Keep reading and find out my saving methods.

1. Make saving plan! When you get your salary, before you start spending it, make a plan. First pay the bills and take money for food, that decide what’s important to buy that month. When you take to the side the money you need for bills and food, you will actually see that there is a little money left. Take them to the side and save it for your travels.

2. When you’re shopping, make a list and stick to it! – Before you go to the stores, be sure to make a list, especially if there are sales in the town. You do not everything that’s on the sale! Think twice!

3. Earn extra money on the side! – If you are working and your salary is not enough to save some money for your travels, try doing something on the side. There are lot of jobs on freelance sites like Upwork or Freelancer or make a small side business form your hobby ( make up, hair dressing, making cookies…).

4. Walk or ride a bike! – Instead of going to the work by car or bus, ride a bike or walk to the work. This way you’ll save all the money you would give for gas or bus tickets.

5. Find cheap flights online! – Buy your plane tickets earlier and save money. If you buy a ticket months before your trip, you will get a ticket at the same price as the bus ticket.

6. Sign up for travel newsletters. – Signing up to travel sites and receiving their e-mails, will give you a chance to be the first one to see all the discounts and special offers!

7. Learn how to cook! – Why this is important? This way you will be able to make dinner or lunch for yourself or for you and your friends. Dining out can be very expensive, so watch some of the great channels on You Tube and learn how to cook for free. Or simple, ask your mum or grandma to show you! 😉

8. Save your change! – Find your all childhood money box and keep all you change. In time, you’ll save enough to have for coffee for your trips.

9. Use phone apps like Viber, What’s app or Facebook  Messenger  to communicate!

10. Book in advance as much as possible – You all know for these ” first minute” offers and you will all agree that they’re way cheaper that summer prices for holidays. So, book your summer holiday in February or March and save a lot of money!

11. Tips for girls! – Girls, paint your own nails, do yourself your hair, sell your all clothes or recycle them and use generic not brand product!
