Vienna Travel Guide- introduction

While I’m getting ready for my next trip, I decided to write a little preview of my trip to Vienna. This is a short travel guide, consisting all the information you need to know if you are planning your trip to European music capital.

Vienna is capital and the largest city is Austria, with more than 1,7 million residents. Vienna is cultural, economic and political center of Austria and tenth largest city in European Union. In the heart of Europe,  on the banks of Danube, lies one of the most beautiful European capitals.

How to reach the destination:

Travelling to Vienna have verous versions. You can come here, by car, bus, train or plane. I’m travelling by bus, and there are numerios lines from almost every bigger city in Europe. If you choose this mode of transport and if you are student, you can have a discount on your ticket price. Another way of travelling is by train. Europe is well- connected, so getting to Vienna, is going to be easy and cheap. The best way of travelling is definitelly, by car. It’s cheap, and you can also stop and visit every toursit destination or city you’d like to see on your way to Vienna. If you are not in a mood to spend hours travelling to Vienna, you can take a plain and land at Vienna International Airport, that’s located just outside of Vienna.  You can travel to Austrian capital by taking  Austrian Airlines or a cheaper version, budget airline Niki.

Price Range for Hotels:

Hotel prices in Vienna depand of type of accommodation and of location. If you’re not looking for some luxurious accommodation, you can stay at cheap, budget hotel and spend between  40-100 per night. If you are willing to pay a little bit more, you can stay at mid-range hotel and pay for a night there between 92 and 160 euros. The most expensive type of hotels, luxury hotels, will cost you between 200 and 1000 euros per night. My recommendation is Ibis Budget Wien Messe Hotel. I love staying in these hotels. I already visited their hotel in Warsaw and I was very satisfied with their service. Price for staying in this hotel start with 70 euros.
